Real Careers

At each of our stores we have a Store Manager, a Deputy Manager, Sales Managers and an Admin Manager. At some stores we also have a Senior Store Manager. But whatever role you play, there are certain things you can take as read: you'll be challenged every day; and you'll be entrusted to make decisions about how to get the best out of your team and the business.

Senior Store Manager

With a broad remit that goes well beyond your own store, you'll be looking after a cluster of stores in your area - coaching and mentoring Store Managers, whilst providing practical support and guidance to help improve our overall efficiency. You'll also deputise for the Trading Manager in his or her absence.

Store Manager

Our average store is 30,000 square feet - and you need to be in touch with what's going on in all areas from the stock room to the shop floor. It's a fast-paced environment and we want you to be visible at all times. Think and act as if you were running your own business. Because in many ways, that's exactly what you will be doing.

Deputy Manager

Leading and developing a team of Sales Managers and General Sales Assistants, it will be up to you to make sure the stockroom operates effectively and that we achieve the highest standards of presentation in the most cost effective way. You'll also deputise for the Store Manager in his or her absence.

Sales Manager

With overall responsibility for one of our departments such as Ladieswear, Menswear, Childrenswear or Homewares, you'll coach your team and develop innovative product displays to make sure we consistently hit targets, whilst also ensuring that our customer service standards are maintained throughout the store.

Admin Manager

Managing the flow of money to and from the store, you'll maintain our computer systems, process and communicate stock and trading information, and take care of all personnel-related functions, including recruitment. The scale of our operations means that retail bulk cash handling experience is a must.
